CGS scholarships 2020

The Cologne Graduate School in Management, Economics, and Social Sciences (CGS) of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences offers up to 6 three-year doctoral scholarships to outstanding students holding a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Management, Economics and Social Sciences (Political Sciences, Sociology or Social Psychology).

About the Programme

The course programme will start in October 2020. During the first year, students will take part in courses on multidisciplinary methods and theories, and subject-specific courses. Courses are taught in English. During the second and third year, students mainly conduct research and work on their thesis.

Qualifications

We are inviting applications by highly qualified graduates from the fields of Management, Political Science, Sociology, Social Psychology or other related fields. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) or be close to completion. For candidates interested in a doctoral degree in Economics a separate announcement will be published soon. Scholarships

The scholarship amounts to 1.365 € per month. The scholarship is awarded for a maximum period of three years and is tax-free.

Application Procedure

Application is online only. Scholarship holders will be integrated in collaborative research centers and research areas of the faculty (for examples see here). In your application, please indicate which research center respective research area you would like to join and please suggest potential supervisors of our Faculty.
