The Cologne Graduate School in Management, Economics and Social Sciences (CGS) constitutes the integrated doctoral program of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. Initiated in 2008, it has established itself as one of the few graduate schools worldwide which is characterized by a high degree of interdisciplinary research across the boundaries of Management, Economics and Social Sciences. Students are encouraged to achieve excellence in research in its own discipline, but at the same time the program structure fosters the exchange of ideas and methods to research across these three disciplines. The three challenging doctoral programs in Management, Economics and Social Sciences are full-time between three to five years. They provide rigorous doctoral training in empirical and quantitative methods as well as their application to business, public policy or societal problems. We are offering a friendly, supportive and stimulating research environment featuring internationally renowned faculty members and full funding for everyone who is admitted to the program. Taking part in one of the doctoral programs at the CGS prepares students for academic positions at leading universities and research institutions around the world.
